The Montreal Canadiens are gearing up for the NHL draft lottery on Tuesday. They still have good chances of securing a high-quality pick in the first round.
Moreover, the Canadiens' organization has just announced a press conference immediately following the lottery results scheduled for Tuesday evening at the NHL Network offices in New Jersey.
The Canadiens rank fifth among teams with the highest number of balls in the lottery drum. They have an 8.5% chance of landing the lucky ball and obtaining the first overall pick, possibly Macklin Celebrini.
"After the conclusion of the 2024 NHL draft lottery on Tuesday evening, and once Montreal learns which pick they will have in the first round, General Manager Kent Hughes will address the media [via Zoom] and hold a press conference," stated Priyanta Emrith."
