We have learned in the last few minutes that Montreal Canadiens prospect defenseman Daniil Sobolev has left North America and has agreed to a two-season contract with Spartak Moscow.

At 21 years old, the right-handed defenseman has spent the last few years in the OHL, playing for the Windsor Spitfires, Niagara IceDogs, and Brantford Bulldogs.
Moreover, this season, playing alongside Florian Xhekaj, Sobolev accumulated 14 points in 31 games.
Let's recall that he was drafted in the fifth round, 152nd overall, by the Habs in 2021.
