Juraj Slafkovsky makes a request to Kent Hughes live on air

However, knowing that he has made remarkable progress this season, the 19-year-old does not want his season to end. During his post-game press conference with the media, he made a particular request to the team's general manager, Kent Hughes.

Indeed, Juraj Slafkovsky, who has accumulated 22 points in his last 24 games, would like to get permission from the management to represent Slovakia at the upcoming World Hockey Championship.

Of course, he will need to receive permission from Kent Hughes before he can wear his country's uniform. However, given that he has publicly disclosed his intentions, it would be surprising if the CH's GM denied him such an opportunity to play additional games.

Moreover, such an experience, where he would have the chance to play significant games against NHL players, could be very beneficial for his progress. Let's just say that with the thunderous season he's currently having, the linemate of Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield has excellent arguments to convince the management.
