As you know, Trevor Zegras has been involved in various trade rumors lately, notably being linked to the Montreal Canadiens.

Furthermore, with the draft approaching quickly, it wouldn't be surprising if the star forward from the Anaheim Ducks is once again involved in various speculations.
Moreover, knowing that Kent Hughes has two first-round picks this year, and also wishes to add a forward to his team, a trade sending Trevor Zegras to the Canadiens could be a very real possibility.
After all, the general manager of the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge has already reiterated his interest in completing another trade like the Kirby Dach one at the next draft, which could involve acquiring the ninth overall pick in 2019.
Far from dispelling trade rumors surrounding number 11, he seems extremely frustrated with his situation, being used within the third line since his return to play. According to many observers, he is no longer part of Pat Verbeek's plans, indicating he could leave the Californian organization during the off-season.
As our colleague William Nadeau from Habs et LNH aptly points out, everything suggests that his future is not in Anaheim and that the forward could very well start the 2024-2025 campaign under the colors of a new team.
With only 7 points in 22 games this season, his value on the trade market has potentially dropped, and Kent Hughes could take advantage of this situation to get a highly talented forward to propel the Canadiens to new heights.
"Trevor Zegras was benched after his penalties. This has now happened a few times that Greg Cronin has left him on the bench this season. There is no consistency on Cronin's part when it comes to benching players for bad penalties." - Félix Sicard

If the Ducks' head coach, Greg Cronin, is tired of his forward's mood swings, we can expect the general manager, Pat Verbeek, to try to trade him soon.
Do you think Kent Hughes should try to acquire Trevor Zegras this summer?
