Over the past few days, a very interesting suggestion involving the Montreal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes has been raised on social media. Indeed, a user proposed the possibility that Kent Hughes, the Canadiens' general manager, could acquire Nick Suzuki's brother, Ryan Suzuki, in exchange for goaltender Jake Allen, in order to resolve the three-goalie situation.

After all, Hughes has shown an interest in bringing together sibling duos in his organization, having selected Florian Xhekaj at the 101st pick in the last draft. Could he do the same with center Ryan Suzuki soon?
TO MONTREAL:

- Ryan Suzuki

TO CAROLINA:

- Jake Allen

Although fan proposals sometimes seem far-fetched, this one could potentially benefit both teams involved in such a transaction. The 22-year-old center has been unable to crack the Hurricanes' lineup due to their great depth. Additionally, according to some, Don Waddell might be inclined to trade his prospect to solidify his goaltending duo.
As for the Montreal Canadiens, the organization urgently needs center players due to the injuries of Kirby Dach, Christian Dvorak, and Alex Newhook. Moreover, the Canadiens must soon rid themselves of a goaltender to avoid hindering the development of Samuel Montembeault and Cayden Primeau.
Considering the situation of both teams, such a trade could be beneficial for the CH and the Hurricanes.
«The Habs are a bit thin at center with Dvorak out.

Ryan Suzuki plays center but is stuck behind Aho, KK, and Staal.

The Hurricanes need a goaltender. Just saying.» - Billy P. Bertrand, RDS

Ryan Suzuki, aged 22, was selected 28th overall by the Hurricanes in the 2019 draft. The six-foot center has never had the opportunity to establish himself in the NHL but has shown potential, accumulating 15 goals and 24 assists (39 points) in his last 65 games in the American League.
Knowing that many teams are hesitant to pay a high price for a second goaltender, Ryan Suzuki could be a prospect the American team is willing to part with, as he has no real opportunities in Carolina.
If you were in Kent Hughes' shoes, would you make this trade?
