In the last few hours, a completely unexpected turn of events has occurred through insiders Elliotte Friedman and Frank Seravalli. Indeed, according to what is circulating in the NHL backstage, several general managers have contacted Kent Hughes to inquire about the price to pay to acquire young defenseman Arber Xhekaj.

Understandably, this news has been poorly received by Montreal Canadiens fans, who absolutely want to keep Wifi in the organization.
Furthermore, Frank Seravalli, editor-in-chief for "The Fourth Period," confirmed that the GM of the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge would have received an offer involving a former first-round pick with the potential to play in an NHL top 6. He also mentioned that Daniel Brière would be very interested in acquiring the sheriff, as he would like to add a defenseman capable of bringing a robust aspect in view of the playoffs.
However, a frankly interesting development has just been announced, suggesting that a transaction between the Canadiens and the Flyers could be a real possibility. Indeed, Kent Hughes sent several scouts to attend the game against the Boston Bruins this afternoon.

Wow! Interesting!
Could a trade be under discussion between Kent Hughes and Daniel Brière? There are increasingly more clues that seem to prove this possibility.
As the saying goes, there's no smoke without fire!
Now it remains to be seen if such a transaction would involve Arber Xhekaj, who has recently been linked to the Flyers, but everything suggests that something is brewing between the two teams. It will be interesting to see if the Canadiens will be able to add a player capable of helping the organization in the coming years.
