Today's news includes the update that Alex Formenton, a former forward for the Ottawa Senators, has surrendered to the London Police due to his involvement in a recent scandal.

Last week, Formenton was permitted to take leave from his team in the National League A, Ambri-Piotta, and he had exited the NHL approximately two years ago, a decision likely influenced by this scandal.
Four additional players have also been granted leave from their respective teams, with Dillon Dubé being a notable example, as he served as the team captain.
A statement from Formenton's legal representatives was issued, stating:
«Several players, including Alex Formenton, have been charged by the London Police in relation to an allegation made in 2018. Alex is committed to strenuously defending his innocence and requests that the public withhold judgment until all evidence is presented.»
