In the last few hours, the organization has officially shared for the first time its plan for the potential construction of a new home in the Phoenix area.
The franchise owner announced the intention to win a bid for a plot of land, aiming to keep the team in Arizona.

The Price to Acquire the Coyotes Is Finally Known
According to John Gambadoro, the owner is testing the waters and asking for one billion dollars to sell the club.
This is an astronomical price for a team that has not generated any profit since joining the league and currently has no NHL-worthy home or facilities.
For context, the Ottawa Senators were sold for $950 million in 2023, the Seattle Kraken paid $650 million for their franchise in 2018, and $500 million was needed for the Vegas Golden Knights' entry rights in 2016.
This information implies that if Quebec wishes to acquire the Coyotes, one billion dollars would need to be spent to relocate the team. Fortunately, the arena is already built; otherwise, it would cost several hundred million more for the construction of a home as well.
