On BPM Sports, Georges Laraque and Stéphane Gonzalez took on the roles of general managers and proposed a trade involving the Montreal Canadiens and the Nashville Predators.

Having participated in the playoffs, Barry Trotz's plan seems clear in goal: to sign Juuse Saros long term.
Over the past few years, the Preds have drafted several forwards. However, defensive depth is lacking.
Considering all these factors, Laraque and Gonzalez arrived at a mutual trade proposal involving Montreal and Nashville.
Here it is:
In Montreal: Yaroslav Askarov
In Nashville: Arber Xhekaj and the Winnipeg Jets' first-round pick (2024)

With Jacob Fowler expected to join the organization in 2025-2026, should Montreal accept and add a prospect like Askarov to its lineup, potentially forming a duo with Samuel Montembeault next season?
This season, in the AHL, Askarov maintained a goals-against average of 2.39 and a save percentage of .911. He also performed well in two games with Nashville.
If the 11th overall pick in 2020 is available, would you accept this trade instead of Kent Hughes?
