Wow! What fantastic news!

After playing the last season with HC Kloten in Switzerland, the Austrian defenseman will thus make his North American debut this week.

There's no doubt that his addition to Jean-François Houle's lineup will provide a significantly important reinforcement in view of a possible playoff run.

At 19 years old, the Tricolore's prospect has accumulated 33 points in 81 games during his last two seasons in the Swiss top division. Certainly, fans will be very eager to see him in action, as his performances will be closely monitored for the remainder of the 2023-2024 campaign.

As for whether David Reinbacher will start the next season within the Montreal defensive squad, it largely depends on his adaptation to the North American style of play and how he performs with the Rocket. Given his potential and the investment the Canadiens have made in selecting him fifth overall, there's a good chance they envision him playing a significant role in their future plans. His performance in Laval will be a key factor in determining his readiness for the NHL level.
