Martin St. Louis Reveals He is Frustrated With Kent Hughes

It's a real return to action for the Montreal Canadiens, after more than a week's break in the schedule.

A major issue was resolved during this downtime with the announcement of Sean Monahan's trade.

Obviously, in the last few hours, it was the topic of the moment, as almost all the players had something to say about their former teammate.

However, many journalists were eagerly waiting for Martin St-Louis to break his silence on this trade, and he has just done so.

Martin St-Louis says he was disappointed by Kent Hughes' call

The head coach of the Canadiens revealed that although he understood his superior's decision, he was disappointed to learn the news when Kent Hughes announced it to him.

The coach certainly adored the 29-year-old veteran, whom he used in every possible situation. With the loss of Kirby Dach, he was his go-to guy behind Nick Suzuki.

As he begins his third end-of-season in his career, having taken the position at a time when the management began to liquidate assets from the lineup, it's clear that St-Louis must possibly hope that this is the last year he has to manage with such significant losses in his lineup, in the middle of the season.

Given that the team is already dealing with several major injuries to key players, it's clear that exacerbating losses with trades hurts even more.
