Jonathan Drouin has revived his career with the Colorado Avalanche this season. The forward has had a successful campaign and wants to continue at the same pace.
The Quebec native had signed a short-term contract for one season and had a lot to prove. He had his best season ever with 56 points in 79 games.
His priority now is to sign a new contract with the Avalanche, unsurprisingly. He wants to stay alongside his good friend Nathan MacKinnon and in a good organization as well.
"Obviously, it was a good year for me. I took a step in the right direction in terms of the level of play I want to have. However, I must give credit to many people here, including the coaches and the players. It's a great group filled with good players.
This defeat will sting for a few days, but I would love to come back with the Avalanche next year. I loved my time here, as did my whole family."
