The Laval Rocket has been searching for a new head coach since Jean-François Houle's resignation. Several candidates are in the running.

Names like Sylvain Favreau, Stéphane Julien, Pascal Vincent, and even Guy Boucher have often been mentioned, but a new contender might enter the fray.

He has coached in the competitive DEL league in Germany. Aubin also had a lengthy playing career in the American Hockey League.

He is familiar with this circuit and could be the right person in Laval to guide the organization's young prospects.

"I have a name in mind for a good coach in Laval. Serge Aubin. I had him in Berlin and he did a tremendous job with Lukas Reichel and the young players."
